Q: What grade and thicknesses of plate do you carry?

Q: Can your material be DNV, ABS and Lloyds stamped?
A: Yes. All of our material can be stamped and certified by third-party inspectors. We have always had an open-door policy for all inspections and validations, because we know what we’re doing and we’re proud to say that we do things right!
Q: How big is your facility?
A: Our state-of-the-art facility is 125,000 square feet. All inventory is kept under roof.
Q: Who do I call if I have a job after normal business hours?
A: Precision Flamecutting and Steel is on call for your rig-down or emergency situation 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Just call our main number and you will be directed to on–call personnel; or, if you are a regular customer, just contact your dedicated project manager at their 24-hour number.
Q: Will you provide material to my specifications?
A: Yes. At Precision Flamecutting and Steel, we pride ourselves in providing material to the most complicated specifications in the industry. No job is too big or too small. Our project managers read prints, create material take-offs, and ensure that the material they are quoting and providing meets all of your specifications.
Q: Can I order turnkey parts from Precision Flamecutting?
A: Yes. We have a fully staffed in-house machine shop. For those processes we outsource, we know that our vendors represent us; that is why all material comes back through our quality control department for final inspection and approval. We offer drilling, turning, grinding, heat treating, nde, forming, rolling, welding, tapping, coating, mechanical and chemical testing, just to name a few of our value-added services.
Q: I have noticed your project managers are very knowledgeable. Where do you find them?
A: We hire driven personnel who have a positive, can-do attitude. We then spend several years teaching them the technical side of our business. Our project managers will work very closely with you to make your job as easy as possible. They love what they do and it shows.
Q: How quickly can I have a job done at Precision Flamecutting?
A: Depending on the complexity of the services ordered, we can provide material burned the same day or the next day, Our typical turnaround is 4-5 days.
Q: One supplier provided me material that was not what they represented which puts me at risk for legal action. How does Precision Flamecutting handle traceability?
A: Companies come to Precision Flamecutting and Steel because of our reputation for honesty and integrity. A condition of employment at our facility requires that personnel agree to uphold the highest standards of honesty in their work. Our traceability is impeccable and has been proven as such by both third-party and customer audits. History and heat traceability is maintained on every plate in our inventory from its receipt to the final cut.
